100 Women Veterans to March in NYC Veterans Day Parade

November 11, 2025
New York, NY

National nonprofit calls on women warriors across America to stand together in unprecedented show of solidarity and strength

New York, NY (November 11, 2025) - The Pink Berets, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to supporting women veterans and survivors of military sexual trauma, today announced an ambitious goal to march with 100 women veterans in the upcoming New York City Veterans Day Parade on November 11th, creating the largest unified representation of women warriors in the parade's history.

"For too long, women veterans have been the invisible warriors of our nation," said Stephanie, CEO of The Pink Berets and decorated Navy veteran. "This march isn't just about visibility – it's about declaring to America that we served, we sacrificed, and we deserve to be seen, heard, and honored. We're calling on women veterans from every branch, every era, and every corner of this country to stand with us."

A Call to Action for Women Warriors Nationwide

The Pink Berets is actively recruiting women veterans from all military branches and service eras to participate in this historic march. The organization aims to create a powerful visual representation of the strength, resilience, and unity of America's women warriors.

Women veterans represent the fastest-growing demographic in the veteran community, yet they face unique challenges including:

  • Higher rates of PTSD and military sexual trauma
  • Inadequate access to gender-specific healthcare
  • Social isolation and lack of peer support networks
  • Disproportionate rates of homelessness and unemployment

"Every woman who marches with us sends a message to the thousands of women veterans struggling in silence: you are not alone, you are valued, and you have a community that stands with you," added Stephanie.

More Than a March, A Movement

The NYC Veterans Day Parade march represents a broader mission to amplify the voices of women veterans and create lasting change. The Pink Berets provides:

  • Women Veterans Peer Support Networks – Connecting women warriors with trauma-informed peer support
  • BLOOM Women's Leadership Program – Empowering women veterans to grow through adversity and lead with purpose
  • Veterans Culinary Therapy Program – Providing therapeutic skill-building and career pathways
  • Advocacy on Capitol Hill – Fighting for policy changes that address the unique needs of women veterans
